AKS-Dojo⢠was started 25 years ago by a passionate Martial Arts practitioner, Adil K. Sattar [AKS], with the sole purpose of his personal training, fitness and his love to promote combat sports, spreading the same passion to friends and family.
Dojo is basically a place to practice Karate. It has an almost sacred status and significance for a Karate Ka (Karate practitioner). When Adil made the Martial Arts studio and gym back in 2000, he was heavily into Kyokushin Karate. Training there provided inner peace, so he named the place DOJO.
Given Adilās background in Karate, and even though he has now moved on to Muay Thai and Kickboxing himself, the Spirit of OSU - the foundation of Kyokushin Karate - resonates deep in his heart, as it applies to all disciples of Martial Arts.
OSU is a contraction of the words:
ę¼ć Oshi meaning "Push"
åæć¶ Shinobu meaning "to Endure"
It means patience, determination and perseverance.
Every time we say "OSU", we remind ourselves of this.
Today, AKS-Dojo⢠is expanding and taking under its wing, young, hard-working, and deserving individuals who want to make their mark in the field of Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Karate, but do not have the means to do so.
What began as a personal journey of fitness through the disciple of Martial Arts, has today evolved into something with a greater purpose. AKS-Dojo⢠has opened its doors to motivated, passionate and talented young athletes in Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Karate ā individuals with a fire in their hearts but limited resources due to their humble backgrounds. At AKS-Dojoā¢, they find guidance, opportunity, and a place of camaraderie and positive mentorship, in a close-knit, family-oriented environment.
We believe that the principles learnt in the ring ā respect, discipline, perseverance, endurance and confidence ā are the building blocks for a successful and fulfilling life. Driven by this purpose, we extend and inculcate these values in young, deserving practitioners of Martial Arts.
AKS-Dojo⢠aims to become a sanctuary for talented, hard-working, young athletes, offering them a supportive environment where they can learn and grow to the best of their potential so they can make a name for themselves and Pakistan, whilst creating a livelihood for their family through combat sports.
We empower athletes through the discipline of Martial Arts. We provide not just physical training but also impart knowledge of mental well-being to help shape character, build resilience, and foster leadership by develping a love of helping other people.
By focusing on self-discipline, humility, respect, and confidence, we humbly aim to enrich and improve their lives.

Abdul Majid hails from a small village near Peshawar, Pakistan, where he developed a passion for Martial Arts at an early age.
To pursue his passionate dream of becoming a Martial Arts athlete, in 2021, Abdul Majid decided to move to Lahore, seeking to groom himself in an environment conducive to his aspirations.
In Lahore, Abdul Majid began his formal training in Shotokan Karate, a discipline known for its powerful strikes and fundamental techniques. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, he honed his skills. The rigorous training sessions laid the foundation of his Martial Arts training. With work obligations during the day, he faced the challenge of balancing a demanding schedule while pursuing his passion.
After refining his techniques and accumulating expertise in Shotokan, Abdul Majid returned to his village. During this period he expanded his horizons by learning Bando Karate, in Peshawar, a distinctive Martial Art that emphasizes both combat and self-defense techniques rooted in Burmese traditions.
In 2023, his growing interest in Kickboxing took him to Lower Dir, a remote district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. Despite the lack of facilities, Abdul Majidās unwavering determination led him to train and develop his skills in Kickboxing.
In 2024, Abdul Majid moved to Karachi and joined AKS-Dojo, where he is currently training in Kickboxing and Muay Thai.
Over the limited years of his career, Abdul Majid has participated in numerous national competitions. His hard work has won him various fights, solidifying his status as an upcoming Martial Artist in Pakistan.
